Newcastle City Council and partners have created a new careers event, My future: My Choice, to support the young people of Newcastle to make informed vocational choices.

This new event will showcase the fantastic opportunities available within the city for all ability groups and will give young people equal opportunity to access employers, training providers and support organisations. Year 9, Year 11, sixth formers, college learners and their parents are all invited to attend. The event will feature stallholders and speakers covering general and sector-specific options. This will include the city’s colleges and universities, and employers from a variety of sectors including green renewable, public services, hospitality, engineering and more. This event also had a dedicated zone for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with a host of organisations attending, such as Trinity Post 16 Solutions Ltd, offering practical and interactive activities and presentations to advise and support young people and their families when preparing for adulthood.
