Forest School in the Classroom
A new term means new beginnings, and we have new members to our Forest school team, which comes with new ideas to help our learners’ progress. However, some of our learners struggle with transition and haven’t managed to leave the Sanctuary to attend Forest school.
As a therapeutic provision it’s important we support our learners and not rush them into change. Our Forest team decided to bring Forest school to them. Our learners were shown how to “lash”, this will help them to design and build at Forest school. In the forest we would usually use natural materials, but we had to improvise and practised using coloured pencils and string.
