Maroon out and about!

Last week Maroon group went on a trip to Great North Museum (formerly known as The Hancock Museum). It has exhibits of wild animals from all over the world, including American Bison, Great White Shark and even a stuffed Dodo! There are also displays about Hadrian’s Wall, the Ancient Egyptians, and traditional costumes from around the world.

Mr Little took us to the museum in the school’s minibus and we spent the morning looking at the displays, followed by a visit to the gift shop. one learner said “I found a fox, I’m really interested in foxes, did you know there are 12 species of fox in the world?" another said “I’ve really enjoyed coming here” and another learner said “I’ve really enjoyed finding out about the fossils.” When we came back to school, we did some drawings of the animals we had seen on our visit.
