KS4 do Land Based Studies
The key stage 4 Land based studies group have made a really positive start to their course. For their BTEC accreditation, they have been learning about the "five freedoms" which are promoted by the RSPCA to encourage high standards of animal welfare and compassionate farming. The students have learnt about the five freedoms which are:
- Freedom from hunger and thirst. ...
- Freedom from discomfort. ...
- Freedom from pain, injury or disease. ...
- Freedom to express normal behaviour. ...
- Freedom from fear or distress.
Over the next term we will be considering all these requirements and how we meet them when we're looking after the animals on the school farm.
