Exam Information

GCSE Summer Examinations 2024

The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), have informed us of three contingency dates to put in your diary.

These are dates that may be used if there is any disruption to a day of exams for any reason. In such a case exams may be rescheduled to one of these contingency dates.

  • Afternoon of the Thursday 13th June
  • Full Day of Wednesday 28th June (right at the end of the exam window).

Candidates need to make sure they are available on these days and must not arrange a holiday until at least after 26th June

If learners are not available because they are on holiday and one of their exams is rescheduled to this day, they will not be eligible for special consideration by the exam boards.

We hope that the use of the contingency days will not be necessary. However, we feel duty bound to pass on the JCQ information and request that candidates/learners be available on these dates, in case it is required.
