Derwent Hill

From 26th - 30th January, a group of 8 learners attended a residential trip at Derwent Hill, Keswick. This was a chance for learners, who would not normally interact on a social level, to get to know one and other and work together as a team to complete several adventurous activities.
These activities included:
- Orienteering
- Indoor climbing
- The big swing
- Low ropes courses
- Hill walks (day and night)
- Canoeing
- Ghyll scrambling
- A visit to a mine
The weather was certainly an obstacle at the start of the week but as time went on, it slowly improved and by the Wednesday, the skies were clear, and we ended up having some fantastic days.
A great week had by all and hopefully some great memories made in the process.
