Flying off to a great half term

It has been great to see the Outdoor Education Pathway taking a new direction this academic year with a revised programme and more staff supporting the learners and giving them the experiences outside of the classroom.

With a National Trust membership, the team have been taking learners locally to Gibside Estate and seeing their faces when they return has been uplifting. To think, 10 minutes out of the centre of Newcastle we have some of the most amazing countryside and our learners are experiencing this first hand.

It was lovely to hear that this week Mr Butler took the group out to Gibside to play Disc Golf (Frisbee to you and I) and the addition in typical Mr Butler fashion of applying Maths into a fun yet challenging game. The photographs just show how much the learners are enjoying their visits and the weather has certainly shone on their adventures!
