GCSE Textiles

Over the past year our current cohort of GCSE Textiles learners have been working hard, completing their assignments following a tough year of restrictions.

This year’s Yr11 cohort have probably been the most effected by the COVID restrictions but that hasn’t stopped them all from striving for excellence. Each week the atmosphere in Mrs Howe’s classroom is calm with a buzz of enthusiasm and excitement as learner are busy working away making their ideas come to life. Learners have built upon their resilience regarding tough situations and developed their independent thinking and creative skills to overcome any barriers they faced. Mrs Howe is extremely proud of her learners as they are a credit to themselves and the academy. The work they have been producing has been of a high standard and their portfolios are starting to take shape.

Here are some snapshots of work completed during time on the GCSE Textiles pathway.
