Knives Down, Boots On..

Knives Down Summer Tournament – What a day!
On Thursday 17th July, we held our end of year Knives Down Tournament, and it was our biggest yet!
We welcomed two new schools, bringing us to 10 SEN/SEMH schools from across Newcastle and North Tyneside, all coming together through football.
We were honoured to have the Police and Crime Commissioner join us and speak about how proud she was to see so many young people united in a safe, positive space.
And yes.. Peter Beardsley dropped by too! He praised the league and even handed out medals, kindly donated by Whitley Bay FC.
Again, a massive thank you to everyone who took part and everyone who made it possible – we couldn't do this without you.
Special shoutout to Mr Harrison, who ran half a marathon on the day (legend!)
And another big thank you Yvonne at Whitley Bay Fc for letting us use their amazing facilities.
Together, were creating change – breaking postcode rivalries and tackling knife crime through community sport and respect.
