Retrieval Tasks
Retrieval of information is a key part of learning and using our prior knowledge as the building blocks to new understanding.
In white group, we regularly use retrieval tasks to reinforce our knowledge. Today the boys created a “brain dump” to record the information they could remember about our novel. I was very impressed by the way in which the boys used their recollections to make deductions about the characters in the book.
