Artistic ALC Learners

In the Acorn Learning Centre (ALC), we have been celebrating some fantastic creativity in art.
Learners have worked exceptionally hard to complete paintings that represent their own personal interests. Artistic ALC learners have demonstrated amazing resilience and creativity when working on their pieces over several weeks.
Working towards a GCSE in Art, Craft and Design, one learner has designed a piece of work that represents evil forces at work in nature. This is an incredible piece of work and an amazing celebration of creativity for this hard-working learner.
Another ALC learner has been working on a dinosaur; using self-reflection to represent inner strength and confidence, an amazing piece has been created and is a celebration of the individual, their qualities and their progress in art.
The third piece is an ‘Animal Crossing’ inspired painting of happiness, which the learner has expressed in an amazingly artistic way. What better way to celebrate how this learner sees and interacts with the world?
The next steps for these pieces of work will be to create them into 3D models which we are all excited to do in the coming weeks.
