Learning About the Romans | Humanities

In Humanities this term we are learning about the Romans. We are learning about the important influences the Romans have on our laws, armies, engineering and architecture still today.
We have also learned about some of the horrible things Emperor Nero did including how he covered his enemies in wax and used them as giant candles! In outdoor education, we visited Sycamore Gap and could see the remains of Hadrians Wall. Wallsend is named after Hadrians Wall as it is the end of the Wall.
We are building a model of Hadrian's wall using recycled card and newspaper.
