    Maths Session

    What was supposed to be a food cover lesson, quickly became a learner led maths session. There were originally two learners taking part, but the numbers soon grew to six. The learners were from years 8 and 10, and showed that they can work together when they want to solve a problem.

    Our careers teacher, Mr Kelly led another engaging trip for Trinity Academy Newcastle Upper Site learners. The National Apprenticeship Show for the North East was held at the Utlitia Arena in Newcastle.  The KS4 learners grasped the opportunity and fully engaged in the experience.

    Amazing Aromas!

    This week white group have produced a batch of bread buns. They prepared the dough using key maths skills-weighing, measuring, division etc. Then focused on the design element by researching bread designs, then produced a prototype using salt dough before finally producing their bread buns.

    Forest school adventures, presented by a white group learner

    "White group have a new timetable, and on a Friday morning, we go to forest school. This was the first time I had been and I loved it. We built a fire and toasted some marshmallows. Some learners even sandwiched them together with two chocolate digestives."
